The eighth lesson considers the 7 relationships among propositions: the independence of a statement, the equivalence of statements, the contradiction of statements, the contrariety of statements, the subcontrariety of statements, the superimplication of statements, and the subimplication of statements. He also shows the square of opposition that illustrates the relationships between propositions.

In the final class, Mac Deaver talks about the traditional laws of thought. Humans, made in God’s image, are beings of ration and reason.
