Session 1: Freedom, Liberty, and God | God in America
The United States is the “land of the free and the home of the brave.” But can this nation sustain true freedom and bravery without its original foundation? Dive deep into the gripping, often-overlooked history of early American independence to contrast modern views of faith and government with the nation’s founding history. Are you ready to see the evidence for yourself? We invite you to join us in this study to explore the origins and true foundation of God in America!
-
Session 2: Founding Documents | God in America
The Declaration of Independence launched the nation, the Constitution gave balance, and the Bill of Rights protected our liberties. But, what is the foundation by which these written documents have provided such stability? What place does God have in these founding documents? This session explores these fundamental questions, considering the founding documents and the Framers own words to understand their intention for having God in America.
-
Session 3: Political Speeches | God in America
Washington, Adams, Jefferson, and Franklin…you may know their names and why they are famous in American history, but do you know what brought these men to their knees? The United States has an incredible history of courage, bravery, and devotion in its Founding Fathers, but it is what these men believed about God and Christianity that made their efforts worthy. Join us in this session to hear, in their own words, the true deep convictions that fueled their passion for a free nation.
-
Session 4: National Monuments | God in America
What do the Jefferson Memorial, Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, and the Library of Congress have to do with God? Why are Philadelphia, New York City, and Washington D.C. significant to understanding the Founders’ intention for a religious foundation? Join us in the study, God in America, and come tour these cities and monuments so you can understand why a place of honor should be restored for God.
-
Session 5: Education | God in America
Did the Founders of our country prioritize education? And did they consider God an appropriate topic within the classroom? With modern education having practically removed God and the Bible from public education, it may be assumed this was their intention. But that assumption could not be further from the truth. Join us as we hear from the early educators and open their foundational texts to learn their view of God in America.
-
Session 6: Restoration | God in America
Having read the documents, listened to the speeches, toured the monuments, and considered past educational focus, we can say that past generations held God in a higher place of honor. So will God extend His patience for the continued existence of our nation? Since we do not have the mind of God on this matter…restoration must be our aim. Join us in this concluding session as we rekindle the personal, cultural, and national motivation to restores the proper honor for God in America!
God in America Program
Official Release July 4, 2026
God in America is a new six-part program that looks back at the foundations of the United States and considers the influence God has played throughout the nation’s history. When many think of America’s beginning, they may think of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, or men such as George Washington and Thomas Jefferson. But how often do we consider God’s providence and influence in the formation and direction of this nation?
The Bible’s reminder is that God rules over the nations:
“For the kingdom is the Lord’s, and He rules over the nations.” Psalm 22:28
“He makes nations great, and destroys them; He enlarges nations, and guides them.” (Job 12:23)
Scripture also teaches that “the Most High rules in the kingdom of men” (Daniel 4:17) and that “there is no authority except from God” (Romans 13:1).
For more than 250 years, God’s Word has influenced America, its people, and its principles. In this program, Branyon May Ph.D. examines the Founding Fathers, the documents they helped create, and the historical foundations of this nation to help revive our knowledge of America’s past and encourage us to consider how we can keep God in America.
