From Screen to Soul: Sharing God’s Word Electronically
In September 2024, World Video Bible School was given the opportunity to work with Off the Chain Ministries. These brethren work in the Florida prison system and also assist those being released. Together, WVBS and Off the Chain Ministries are providing Bible-based materials electronically to those who are incarcerated using the PandoApp. As of April 2025, the channel has 108 videos available with weekly additions. The content includes videos in English, Spanish, and American Sign Language. The channel has already received over 2.3 million views.
Building on the success of this effort, WVBS has also been working on a second opportunity to bring God’s Word into U.S. prisons, this time through the Edovo educational app. Edovo reaches over 900,000 incarcerated learners in 44 states.
The Staff at WVBS is excited to announce the release of the first 20 courses. Of these, 10 are from the WVBS Online Bible School curriculum and 10 are from WVBS topical courses. These courses total 270 lessons. For WVBS, these first 20 comprehensive and in-depth courses are only the beginning. Our plan is to have, by the end of 2025, all 45 courses, over 900 lessons, of the Online Bible School available to those who are incarcerated. The staff at WVBS has been blessed by the Lord to accomplish this work for His Kingdom.
With the Off the Chain Ministries channel on the PandoApp and the WVBS Online Bible School now building on Edovo, we want to make the church aware of these powerful tools for reaching the incarcerated. If you know someone who is in prison or involved in prison ministry, please share this valuable information with them. You can be the connection that helps someone access sound, Bible-based teaching where it is needed.
Prisoners with access to the Edovo app can find the WVBS courses by simply typing WVBS into the search bar at the top of the screen to see all the listings of the World Video Bible School courses.
To God Be the Glory!
